Hey Deviantart friends, I wanted to thank you all so much for your support during my long, long absence. It was very moving for me to finally get back here and see so many wonderful people who like my work. I am slowly getting back to making masks. My darling baby girl is about 7 months now, and seems to be very happy to sit beside me as I work and play with her toys. I'm sure I will still be in and out for a while because every single day is an adventure in this crazy new life of being a parent. Take care, and hope to have more cool stuff for you soon.

So I finally worked my way back into some heavy production thanks to a couple of local events that I have been selling at the last few weekends. I haven't sold a lot, but I've been able to spend several days doing nothing but sitting by the lake in the beautiful weather making masks. Now I just hope I can continue that productivity and get them all listed on Etsy considering that I'm 5-6 months along in my pregnancy and we just closed on a house so well be fixing it up and moving in the next couple of months. But, you can only do what you can do, right? :)

OK, I have a question for you guys out there. So I am going through this odd period where masks are being more difficult, taking longer to make, and I am generally not as happy with the result. Even though my business is going well and I am getting a ton of local opportunities, I am having serious questions about what I am doing and why and feeling kind of lost. Is this just perfectionism kicking in? Is it normal to have periods where you feel like you are a complete fake and you don't really know what you are doing at all? Any tips on getting yourself out of a low point and getting the creativity flowing again?
